CH-UICH-UI

Pricing

Self-host CH-UI free (Apache-2.0) or unlock Pro with a flat $1,199/year license — Query Insights, Cluster Health, Governance, Schedules. Managed Cloud plans also available.

CH-UI's core is open source (Apache-2.0) and free to self-host — one binary, SQLite state, your infrastructure. A flat Pro License ($1,199/year per instance) unlocks Query Insights, Cluster Health, Governance, Schedules, query parameters, and GitHub sync — activated offline with a key, no call-home. Prefer zero infrastructure? CH-UI Cloud runs the server for you with flat per-org plans.

Want managed Postgres, TLS, backups, upgrades, and managed AI handled for you? Use CH-UI Cloud.

Self-hosted Pro License

The license is flat per instance — your whole team and all your ClickHouse users are covered, no seats. Activation is a signed file you upload in Settings; verification is local, so air-gapped deployments work. See Plans & Licensing for details.

To buy: request a license — keys are issued personally, and you'll get yours with the invoice as soon as possible. Not sure yet? Start a 1-month free trial — full Pro, no card required.

Managed AI (Brain)

CH-UI Brain is an AI copilot that understands your schema and writes ClickHouse-idiomatic SQL. You can power it two ways:

  • Bring your own key — plug in your own OpenAI / OpenAI-compatible / Ollama provider on any plan or tier (including self-hosted). Your key, your cost, unmetered.
  • Managed AI (Cloud only) — we run the model for you. Cloud Pro includes $4/month of usage; beyond that, buy prepaid credit packs ($6 → $5 of usage). Hard-capped — no surprise bills.

How Cloud limits work

  • Limits are enforced when you create resources. Hit a cap and you'll get a clear prompt to upgrade — nothing breaks, and existing data is never touched.
  • Connections count ClickHouse clusters linked to an org. Console members are people who can sign in to your console — your ClickHouse end-users are not counted and never charged.
  • Upgrades and downgrades are self-serve in the console (Stripe). Cancel anytime; you keep Pro until the period ends.

FAQ

Do you charge per user? No. The self-hosted license is flat per instance, and Cloud pricing is flat per organization. Workspace access uses your ClickHouse's own users, so neither your team nor your end-users are billed as seats.

What does the self-hosted Pro License include? Query Insights, Cluster Health, Governance with alerts, Schedules, query parameters with the saved-query Run API, and GitHub sync — plus email support. Everything else is free in the open-source core.

Does the license phone home? No — it's a signed file verified locally against a key embedded in the binary. Air-gapped environments work.

Is there a free trial of Pro? The open-source core is free forever — you can evaluate everything except the Pro modules indefinitely. For Cloud, the Free plan is free forever and you can upgrade anytime.

What happens if I downgrade Cloud? You keep your data. If you're over the Free limits, you simply can't create new items of that type until you're back under the cap.

Can I cap my AI spend? Yes — managed AI is hard-capped at your included budget plus any prepaid credits. It can't run away.
